Hudghton (Greens/EFA) - Despite the disappointment of Copenhagen, the EU cannot allow the lack of international consensus to slow down our own efforts in effecting a sustainable energy policy. The Scottish Government is continuing to pioneer in the field of renewable energy and the EU has an important role, too, in driving forward the agenda. The effective promotion of our energy policy requires adequate information on infrastructure and I voted accordingly today.
