Ian Hudghton (Greens/EFA) − I voted against this report. A majority of this House does not seem to realise that Europe is in the midst of an economic crisis and that Parliament's own expenditure must reflect that reality. Perhaps nowhere is this evidenced better than in the continued expense of the House of European History. At a time when public spending is being slashed across the continent, it is ludicrous that this frivolity is allowed to continue.
