Ian Hudghton (Greens/EFA) ‒ In the past I have had some misgivings about this Houseʼs position on maternity leave and it is clear that compromises will have to be found if we are to achieve a satisfactory outcome. It is not appropriate however for legislation to be simply jammed in the system and I therefore voted in favour of this resolution and would like to see some sort of meaningful progress on the subject matter.
